The novel The Hammock and the Hummingbirds as a bound book, lying on a table
Paperback (in French) — €20 — 498 pages

Holding your beloved book in your hands is like holding your cuddly toy: you get attached! It smells of vanilla, especially if it has lived a little, if it’s all dog-eared, stained, scribbled in, warped. We have an emotional, tactile bond with a book. An object to lend, swap, or on the contrary to protect religiously from all harm, by hoisting it like a trophy onto a shelf of your bookcase.

Your whole library in your pocket, with no excess baggage. The novel goes travelling with you. For reading on the train, in a hammock on the beach in the shade of the palm trees, and above all while everyone else is asleep, without switching on the light, telling yourself “just one more chapter”, 4 chapters in a row.

How to take part?

The novel goes on, like a series to follow. These ideas will come to life step by step.

Taking part in a project? You have 2 options: you give your creation, or you sell it for €30. Image, drawing, photo · sound, song, music · text · video.

Either way, your name is in the project and in the gallery, and I send you the image of your creation in the gallery.

Why €30? Everything I offer is free, and my books sell for between €5 and €20. So I can’t buy a creation for more. If 15 of your images are chosen, I pay you 15 × €30 = €450. Between creators, you’re free to sell at whatever price you like. A free copy for every creator would cost too much.

All the rules are in the creators’ charter.
